However, the present position in the Native Units, better known as the "Ghetto", is such that most our people are residing voluntarily, hence the word "Volition", defeating the purpose in which it was created for. Native Unit Volition aims at empowering people from the previously disadvantaged communities through students , by bridging the gap between
previously disadvantaged communities and the suburbs life style.
Native Unit Volition derives its name from the harsh time of our notorious history. The Group Area's Act, in particular, that segregated the urban (white) areas from the homelands, or otherwise Native Units (Yards).
Black people were forced to stay there hence you find that they are concentrated in such areas even to date.
Native Unit Volition trades on a wide spectrum in the entertainment industry. We host events, provide entertainment services, we nurture the young talent of young artists, we design clothes and this is to name just a few of the things that we engage in but our core business is clothing.
